The Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) of UniCredit Bank Austria rose by 1.2 points to 48.8 in October. This is the second-best value of the last three years, but remains below the growth threshold of 50 points. Additionally, the optimism of the industry for 2026 has significantly increased, according to Bank Austria s chief economist Stefan Bruckbauer.
