This year, the domestic economy shows only slight progress. In the third quarter, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by only 0.1 percent in real terms compared to the previous quarter, according to a preliminary estimate by the Economic Research Institute (Wifo). Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, this results in an increase of 0.6 percent. Wifo describes this as sluggish dynamics on a broad basis.
