The Vienna Child and Youth Advocacy (KIJA) pointed out problems in juvenile detention on Tuesday. Last year, for example, dinner was served as early as 1:30 PM in the juvenile section of the Josefstadt prison. Additionally, the inmates of this section only had the opportunity to shower twice a week because there was not enough hot water available, as noted in the 2024 annual report of the KIJA.
