Ryanair announced in September that it would withdraw three of its 19 aircraft from Vienna, and now two more are to follow in the summer of 2026. The airline criticizes the government for maintaining the air traffic tax. Vienna Airport supports Ryanair and also calls for the abolition or significant reduction of the flight levy.
